Color and Black-and-White Pigment Prints
Color and black-and-white pigment prints begin as a photographic image captured either as a digital file or on film. Each image is individually printed on acid-free cotton rag paper and signed, dated, and embossed stamped by the artist. A certificate of authenticity accompanies each print.
Don's original mixed media art is created from a photographic image captured either digitally or on film. The initial image is altered using a variety of techniques and personally printed on acid-free cotton rag paper. The image is further enhanced, using acrylics, oil sticks, oil pastels, soft pastels, and/or pencils to create a unique, one-only work of art. Each mixed media artwork is signed and dated by the artist. Since each print is unique and original, there are no limited editions or artist's proofs. A certificate of authenticity accompanies each mixed media artwork.
Image Transfer Prints
An image transfer print begins as a high-resolution digital scan from an original image transfer printed on acid-free cotton rag paper. Each image transfer print is enhanced to some degree, using a combination of mixed media, then signed, dated, and embossed stamped by the artist. A certificate of authenticity accompanies each print.
The time-consuming process involved in creating each original mixed media piece, black-and-white pigment print, color pigment print, or image transfer print requires the artist's judgment, skill, and command of the many tools needed to complete each work of art. Each artwork is personally produced by the artist, differing from other photographic or printing method where limited or open editions are created in mass by mechanical means, either through photographic printing in a lab or offset lithography in a print shop.
Due to the limitations of small digital files and the adjustments made to users' color monitors, the images on this website are only representative of how each original artwork will appear in each individually completed piece.
